54 unit modular origami

Post by kjcripps »

Hello does anyone know of a farily simple modular piece that uses 54 units? I am in a group of 54 people that is exploring individuality and interconnection and I would love to make a model using one piece from each person.
thank you
kerri :)

There's this patchwork-module:

You can use as many modules as you like and each person can insert an individually designed square.
Here is one I made together with a friend some time ago:

The Super Duper Spike Ball i believe uses 54 of the 'Spike units'. Barbabella on youtube has a video on how to make the module as well as the basic construction that requires the units, a cubocathedron

Yep! Super duper ball uses 54 units.

or you can make 54 Mette units and join them in 3 intersecting rings because for each ring you will need 18 units.
