Wow! Nice folds. I particularly like the detailing on the Dwarf. I've used tracing paper and will agree it is nice to work with, though very noisey!

Hello everyone! :P I have some lame folds to share with you all today. I didn't think that they were worthy of posting, but I decided that I should just upload them anyway.

First, I made a quick little twist pattern out of a rectangle.
Image

Then, I made this cool little tesselation out of the same proportioned rectangle. I make a series of water-bombs, then pull out the pleats that extend from the edges of the bases, and the tops of the bases make these cute little puffs! Hmm, this picture doesn't do any good, now does it?
Image

an even worse shot of the back side...
Image

A terrible fold of Chan's armor mask.

And finally, this wizard. It is my first boxpleated model, and probably my 6th overall. The head and arms are kind of stolen from a Joisel piece, and the rest of the body isn't really all that original.

He looks a bit like a Wizard/Zombie, Doesn't he? :P

Hi Paperlion, you should really look out for better paper. Copy paper just doesn't do for nice models.
For inspiration you can either read through this very interesting topic or watch those two videos by Sara Adams:
Tissue Foil: http://www.happyfolding.com/instructions-tissue_foil
Double MC paper: http://www.happyfolding.com/instructions-double_tissue

Choosing a better medium will enhance your folding a lot.

I made some K-roses, and a 2 rose brooches, too.

These are the brooches.

This is a comparison between my smallest and largest roses, with a quarter. The big rose is Kawaski's "new" rose.

This is Won Park's dollar camera.

Jeremy Shafer's flasher, from foil.

I had to use my toe to keep the flasher open AND take a picture at the same time.

So, about the Canson tracing paper....
If you really want to use tracing paper, get Strathmore 300 series parchment tracing paper, 41 GSM. It is amazing.

Having said that, I can say that I have had experience with Canson, and, well.... lets just say that I threw away a half-folded Ryu Jin 3.5....
The 40 GSM thinness seems very appealing, but once you start folding something very complex, the paper gets terrible. It tears hopelessly, and is NOT something that you want for any very complex model. Strathmore is better quality paper, and to be honest, 1 gram won't make much of a difference. So, I truly recommend Strathmore, and advise you to not use Canson. I haven't touched the stuff since I got my Strathmore paper.

Good luck

Actually, when I set out to get some paper, I had strathmore in mind. However, Canson was the only paper I could find.

Do you know where I could find Strathmore Tracing?

Ah.... I live in a very small town, so I buy my paper from local supply stores. We don't have any of the store you mentioned, We don't even have a Micheal's... :(

I have folded Giang Dinh's dreaming cat. My interpretation of it looks nothing like the original beauty.

Ok people, I have some things to share with you. I folded a lot, but I have no camera now... also, I will not be uploading during the next week, as much as I want to. First, I made this cube unit, and figured out how to make multiples of it. I made 4 tiny ones, and the largest (spaced) group of 4.
Once I can make a tetrahedron unit, I will make a house. then a city... I also folded kamiya's cerberus 1.1 and Voyer's horse. One of my goals for spring break is tissue foil.

Here is my CP for the cube unit. Made in MS paint, with limited time...
