Paulius - That looks great! Yeah, the paper does looks a bit worn out, so if you are planning on full scales, have fun :(. The dorsal spines on the legs look very nice...

I won't shape scales. I haven't even considered that. I think for a first try it would be kind of stupid :)

I've heard that shaping of the legs are complicated. Is there any tips that everyone should know? Or is it simple - i mean, narrowing claws and just bending them into the shape?

To be honest, there are really not heavy pointers. The leg spur is certainly a useful flap for making the model look more lifelike, but as far as I know, it is not too difficult. I actually had loads of trouble on my first Ryu Jin because I collapsed the toes wrong, and accidentally locked all the flaps together....

However, as long as you collapse the toes right, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the shaping (though it is difficult at times to get it to look good...).

However, if we look here...

And scroll down though the comments, we see
"The toes were not very difficult, but the shaping of the mane on the legs wasted my several hours to think it out. "

I am not sure exactly what she meant by the mane... ...maybe the spurs?

I think she means the dorsal line of scales on the legs. Very hard to fold correctly since you have to push it from inside the legs, a real headache.
Pobody's nerfect.

Ooooh, I have always had trouble with that area... I was looking at Paulius's progress, and was considering making a post saying that his dorsal spines looked amazing, but thought it wouldn't be necessary to make a whole post for one small comment.

However, since I'm posting this - Pauius! Those dorsal spines look divine!!

Also, Froy - you should post pictures of your 3.5 on your new flickr!! I loved looking at the pictures.....

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your nice words, ant they do encourage me to continue folding!
This is my recent progress - 50 percent finished:

By the way, could anybody (e.g. Froy, Shuki, Artur or Karol) take some pictures of the neck "twist" in various angles in their Ryus 3.5? Thanks in advance.

It's looking very clean, paulius. I'm very eager to see it finished. About the neck twist, I think Artur may have posted self-made diagrams for it, but I don't remember where....
