it's probably too late, but don't use parchment paper! It has two major downsides: It gets thick very quickly when layers start to accumulate. Also, when you try to do some maneuvers, particularly those near the edge of the paper or sinking/unsinking, parchment has a tendency to split.

My Ryu Jin is mostly done!! I have only to let all the water evaporate... and then shape it :/. Two halves are attached, head is shaped, etc. So pretty much all I can/have to do is wait... ....and the wet it again and curve it. Actually, come to think of it, it might be done drying right now... if it is, I will start curving it!!

Redheadorigami - that is not correct. I have sent him several e-mails regarding Ryu Jin 2.1, 3.1, and 3.5, and he always responded. Did the response take a while? Yes, very much so. Did he get back to me? Yes. True, I doubt he was enthusiastic that he had yet another person asking about Ryu Jin, but he did reply.
And honestly, if worst comes to worst, you send him an e-mail, and he doesn't reply.
