For me, reading ODS was like reading Bjarne Stroustrup's book on C++ (or a book about Java programming).
Bohohohohoring.
(But once I was able to undertand a bit about Circle packing, I got really motivated to continue reading until the last few chapters...)

I would say YES! buy it.
ODS has been my bed book for almost 2 years (actually it was my frist Origami book)
But I think you should think about this:
1- If you want to get a more deep knowledge about origami, go for it.
2- If you want a book just by the pleasure of folding, go for other book.
Nevertheless ODS is a must-have book for every origamist (I think).

You mean, Origami4?origamimasterjared wrote:In that case you'll really want to stay far away from Robert's next book…
Yeah, I heard it was way out on the technical side.
For now, there's far too much stuff for me to learn in ODS that I don't think I even have the right to peer into the pages of Origami4 without going blind
Maybe someday I will ... heheeh.

Robert langs going to publish a new origami book which focuses on the technical side! Can't wait!!!
