Need help with folding balrog

Post by Noober »

Hi, im trying to make a balrog ( http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/balrog.pdf )
So far i made the wings and hands, but im having trouble making the body. On step #4 of making the body is says i need to petal fold three corners and squash fold the remaining one, i know what a squash fold is but i dont know how to squash fold the square ... So how do i squash fold the square? I tried everything but it just doesnt seem to look like the pictures.

As far as I can tell you just have to inside reverse fold along the indicated lines ( angle bisector ).

Thanks for the help :D

im very confused on step 6 :?

So i did inside reverse fold like u said. That made it look like the picture did. On step 5, when i did petal fold it looked a bit different, then on step 6 it said i need to do reverse fold, im not very familiar with reverse folds, so i dont know how to reverse fold step 6 :(
How do i reverse fold step 6?

Step 6: Make a petal fold and fold the tip down.
If you're having problems with such simple things like this you should have a look at the Origami Basics, you can find the most important ones here: http://scarygami.net/basic_folds.php

Make a second petal fold under the other one you've just made.

Just follow the crease lines that are drawn in the diagram.
