just an idea how to do something similar - fold the traditional lily blossom (http://origami.island-three.net/diagrams/lily_diag.gif) with squares in differing sizes, stick them into each other - a smaller and green one outside, put a wooden stick into the base and wrap the blossoms' base and the stalk with green paper stripes ...
