Mark Krischenbaum's cockroach
I've made some modifications onto the original design, to make the model a bit more realistic. I used foil backed crape paper square of 25 cm.

Sometimes modifications are crucial
I am very big on modifying or re-interpreting original designs. I think that most of the times, the instructions can't fully give you all you need to make a satisfactory model and you got to put in it something of your own. It is actually my favorite part because it prevents origami from becoming a mere technical assignment. For example, when I first folded Robert Lang's centipede, I was disappointed to find the cleavage on the back. It reminded me of a dissected animal from some junior high-school biology lesson. But after some meddling I managed to cover it up: http://www.tapuz.co.il/blog/ViewEntry.a ... passok=yes
