This has happened to me several times, and once, we had an assignment at school-make a vacation pamphlet. Several of my friends came to me because they couldn't figure out how to fold a paper into thirds!it deeply bothers you when you get a pamphlet from anywhere and it hasn't been folded precisely (and consequently, you re-fold it).
You know you're an origamist when...

-when girls you never spoke to ask you if they could have one of those cute [insert origami model]
-you're not leaving the house without at least one sheet of kami
-you always know where to get foldable paper asap
-you find it hard to throw away paper
-if someone throws paper away, you stop him and say: "wait, I still can use this!"

when you tell your husband that the paper speaks to you and tells you what it wants to be folded into and he looks at you like youre insane.
Or when your mother in law ask you what you want for your birthday and you reply an iron and a blender...when she proceeds to tell you that those are not proper birthday gifts you launch into how you're going to make your own paper.

Girls hand you little slips of paper with 7 numbers on them and you fold them into something and give them back. They usually frown at you.

-you have to unfold every "dog-ear" of every dollar bill you get, and then proceed to flatten it
-you see something and start figuring out how to fold it, thinking of the various node arrangements, etc
-you get annoyed at every slightly off-folded pamplet
-you have hundreds or thousands of pieces of paper in your house, but none you can write a message on
-if you have some normal lined paper, and you freak out if someone is holding a cup of water/liquid nearby
-every dollar that you see or hold, (even for a second), you think about it's worthyness to be folded and what it would be best folded as
-a large fan could send your entire room out the window/door
-you know when anyone has said the word "fold", (or any other word associated with origami), within a two mile radius
