Hello again. I'm building another game and as I looked at the game board I couldn't help, but think that this particular pattern must have been done with origami before. Here is the board for the game http://www.cameronius.com/games/boche/boche-board-1.jpg.
It's a little hard to see what exactly is going on in the picture, but the main thing is that it should be able to hold cubes with their points pointed upward so that they can be stacked up too a point. A full board will look like this http://www.cameronius.com/games/boche/b ... -end-1.jpg.
To be clear I'm just talking about the board and not the pieces.
I've never seen anything like this before in my life, much less in origami. I think this is an open subject for a model, and you may be the first designer to make it.
I've only seen such tessellations in 2D, but if you want it to play the game you will need a three dimensional board. Seems like a good challenge. It should be possible to come up with a folding sequence for this. You might find some inspiration on Natan's flickr stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/origamiz/
He's experimenting a lot with 3D tessellations of this kind. Maybe you can ask him if he can help you creating this board.
Good luck with this project.
It must only show it if you're logged in. I'm not interested in going through the whole signing up process with yahoo so maybe I'll just leave a comment on his blog or something.
