my first attempt at a composition, for the occasion of the oncoming of autumn.

nguyen cung huong snail
25 cm japanese foil
diagrams tanteidan convention #16

kasumi seishi maple leaves
25 cm kami
diagrams tanteidan convention #15

50 cm silver-backed foil from origami-shop
diagrams in license to fold

looking at it now, i believe i must have made an error pleating the wings; the latter feathers don't appear to be of proper length. sigh... so much work. even foil is too thick for this model.

Nope, it looks very much like what is diagrammed to me, and very well folded to boot. As far as too thick is concerned - I've done this in elephant hide :wink: - that's too thick, even in one square meter :roll:
