fi-ori, is that from one square? is it basically from a five-pointed bird base?

montroll's starfish in animal origami for the enthusiast is basically that. still, beautiful design.

Nope. This is a modular model. You need 5 squares to built a star.

I like the bear. Looks cleaner than others. I assume this is one sheet of duo paper... but I can't quite see the salmon details... Looks cool for what I can see.

(Can you design a simple Bear w/o the salmon, like your pig... so I can fold it ....)

Yes, one uncut square of Nicolas terry's "deluxe washi".
Not much detail on the fish anyway though (that's not what I went for), this is supposed to be a black bear without a salmon, but I adapted the design for this paper and the colours suited adding a fish...
Will post the real bear once i've folded it and it works out.
