I really like the swan variation, it's smart - and this version of Quentin's clown is definitely one of the cleanest I've seen, very nice.

White Rhinoceros Designed and folded by me, one uncut square of Tant, Wet folded. Although this looks identical to Quentin Trollip's Rhino, the folding process is very differnt. Diagramsin my next book, then you'll see the difference!

the way I designed this blue whale was strange. I just thought 'i want to design a blue whale' so I looked at a picture of one and half an hour later I was holding a blue whale in my hands!

Red Hartebeest
Designed and folded by Quentin Trollip.
One uncut square of red-brown washi mc'ed onto black tissue.

According to African legend, the Red Hartebeest (sometimes this tale is also told about the Topi or Tsessebe), was last in line when the Creator was handing out the horns. When Red Hartebeest's turn came up, the Creator was tired of thinking out new shapes of horns and just took two misshapen bones and stuck it on his head!
The other animals laughed at Red Hartebeest's funny horns, so Creator decided to make up for the horns by making him the fastest antelope there is!

I went through quite a few ideas to design the horns, including point-splitting etc, but eventually liked this result the most, using colour-changes to achieve the desired effect. The ears also worked better this way.
