lol well it wasn't THAT hard. but it certainly isn't simple. I've done harder (and seen harder that I have no interest in ever attempting XD ) and I mean I couldn't really go and just say "yeah it wasn't that hard B) " now could I?

its only really a certain few areas that were a little odd that caught me up (I only tried folding it once out of 10 inch kami you can't expect a lot XD )

as for the boxpleated thing, yeah it can sometimes be simpler, but its also more difficult to produce a model that people can't instantly identify as boxpleating. its easily identifiable and, as it may be expected, it can often leave the finished model looking rather boxy.

oh and while the CP kafar posted is largely right ( I think :B ), there will still probably be one or two areas you'll need to adjust a little to get it to work.

For me? This is probably your ryuzin 2.1 or something. >: It's hard~

I can honestly say that with any errors in the picture Kafar has posted, I can still make the model, so long as I can visualize a collapse sequence, and understand the way it works by correcting it on my own, as you suggest, and I can make a model. Sadly, this is one of them where analytical skills aren't working for me.

Er... sort of like an assembly thing. You're shown the two parts. One fits with the other, and you're shown the end project. With this, I don't get it. It's like there's some sort of trick. Like, how you have to pull on a door to open it sometimes when you turn the knob and push. I really want to make myself as clear as possible, and don't mean to make things sound too complicated, or sound like I'm asking for too much >: I'd say "am I clear?" but that feels too commanding, or entitled.

It took me about three hours to figure out the body, but i've been stuck for a greater period of time on the head, in similarities to those circled regions. You guys could be right, satoshi should double check his pattern (or give us some diagrams for crying out loud).

One thing I really like about Crease Patterns is you can make your own adjustments or even add parts easier to the model.
My suggestion is to just fix it yourself and post it on Kludges(thereifixedit.failblog.org). :P
But diagrams might be asking for a bit much. I'm sure you can e-mail him though :P

Aahhh! Thank you! It kind of bothers me when artists don't tell us which crease is mountain and which is valley :? I will get to work right away. 8)

Alright, I have the base :P Now what? :? I'm usually good at forming the model from the base, but I'm puzzled.

I wonder if someone could post a square/river packing analysis of the Dorothy crease pattern. The CP looks very strange to me.
