Just finished test folding the head for R-Z 3.5. Not the cleanest it could be, but I'm satisfied that I managed to collapse the damn thing.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

I've just testfolded the Ryu-in 2.1 head, it was pretty hard to collapse, and it looks a bit weird. I'll post a pic on my FlickR later. I'm folding the head again with a large sheet of double tissue. Hopefully it'll turn out better :)

Edit : I've finished my 2nd testfold of the head, there's a picture on my flickr : http://www.flickr.com/photos/58343174@N02/6001662052/

I've decided to start folding the ryu zin 2.1, and i've collapsed the bottom half.

Before I continue, I'd like to ask a few questions, so sorry if they're already been answered here.

1. Is it better to collapse the top before making the bottom scales, or should I just collapse the scales on the bottom now ?
2. Can someone explain to me, how I wrap the scales around the body, when the legs are in the way ? If that's understandable.

you wrap it the opposite direction of the legs so basically after the scales are done you should have 1 unit of extra paper next to the body. make a mountain fold and wrap the scales around backwards. i think the scales are just enough to get tucked into the first pocket on the other side. if this doesn't make sense ill make a video

Hmm... What's the optimal thickness for this? I have some 80x80cm Tant, but I have a feeling it's way too thick

would 2m×2m 60 gsm Kraft be suitable for the 3.5? I just spent the last hour sifting through this topic and i could not find any specifics.
