I'm new here and I have a problem with the ryujin's head. On the head, I just don't know how to collapse it. Could someone pls help me????? Like a picture or something to see where the valleys and mountain folds go

hi, im new to this forum too. im currently trying to fold the ryuzin. i know how to fold the body and scales, but how do u fold the head and legs? pls show me.(through pictures, diagrams...)

which version of ryujin are you folding 2.1 or 3.5?

hey guys does the 2.1 have a head neck twist? i just folded the head as a test fold and did a twist thing on it but idk if its right

I just finished the model, orislater, and yes, you have to do a neck twist.

Oh dear. Just looking at Kamiya's second fold in progress...
Now I know I'm going to have to fold the Ryu Zin at least once in my life, but that's just enough for me to give up. x]
Anyway I'm going to try folding the head. That's a start.

That's the 3.5, though. Most of the time we're talking about the 2.1 version (the one two posts above mine). It's easier than the 3.5, but still really hard.
Also, no one answered my question, but I can assume 80x80 Tant would be too small/thick for the 2.1, correct?

Yes, tant is really not a good paper choise for this model, unless you have a really big sheet

Some regular kraft paper, about 50-60 gsm, 120 cm wide is a good choise. It works with other kinds of papers as well.
Edit : I finished the ryuzin 2.1 ! Yay
