That tiger beetle is not folded from O-gami-it must have been mislabeled. It was folded with double tissue (not nearly as good as O-gami).

It's pretty much the same per square inch as Origamido

Here's what you do:
Lets see... pretend that the square inch is worth a dollar in one, and the other is worth 50cents a square inch. The latter is cheaper, bigger sheet or smaller. Simple math. Find the size, and the price, and you'll find the cent/dollar per square each in everything.

I've already domenthe math kids. it's like 34 cents versus 33 cents per square inch. Ogami just gives young larger sheet, so it costs more. it's 22x28 versus 16x20.

The difference here (to me) is that, firstly, O-Gami is available year-round, but Origamido is much harder to get ahold of. Secondly, O-Gami comes in larger sheets and is much more useful for complex models because of it.

Anyway, I'll be attempting Satoshi's Phoenix 3.5 with the aztec gold (thinnest sheets) on its largest square surface possible. Is there any foreseeable problem?

Hmm, well O-Gami is made primarily from Abaca fibers, which is SK's favorite, so I think you'll be ok. But you'll definitely want to test fold first (although I've heard if you mess up, you can unfold and iron the paper, and it'll be like new)

I don't know about O-Gami paper, but Michael Lafosse did say that about Origamido Frog paper.
